Day trip

Hello holiday people! That's right I actually went on the holiday this time!

Ok first we visited the village of Lacock which hasn't changed in around 200 years, the newest building is the school which was built in 1824. Some of the Harry potter movie was filmed at the village abbey although its probably more famous for being the venue of the worlds 1st photograph.

After a 45 min stop at the village it was on to Bath where we spent most of our time. Bath is a very picturesque place and luckily we had a good day for it, we popped in on a couple of prime locations worth anything inbetween 2 and 5 million pounds to live in and then to the roman baths. The building isn't really that large but when you go inside it can be quite deceiving with its many chambers and mini worshipping spots. The water is nice and warm keeping a constant temperature of 46.5 degrees in some of the rooms, others are controlled to be cooler or more humid etc.

Here's a view of the main bath which is now open to the elements. I'm not sure if there was ever a roof over the area. The statues are in pretty good condition if they were always exposed.

With some free time to wonder around the city I grabbed some lunch and took a walk to the main garden which is located in front of the spire to the right a little in this picci

All in all Bath is a very nice place to be and well worth a look.
